Subsystem Updates Archive

Since the fall of 2021 The Structures team started designing the frame of our new form factor 6U CubeSat for the PEP-GS Mission. Additionally the team has ran preliminary static analysis to determine the structural integrity of the frame. Our plans moving forward into the summer include, performing preliminary random vibration analysis, solidifying an internal component layout and look into deplorers we could choose from for our current mission.

Our success criteria given to us by the UNP for our static analysis includes achieving a minimum factor of safety of 2.5 in all three axis (X,Y,Z) with a gravitational force of 30.  Keep in mind while you view the results below that the thickness of a piece of paper is 0.1 millimeters.

X Axis
