POWER

Power is in charge of collecting solar power from solar panels, storing the power in rechargeable batteries, and distributing power to each subsystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Verification Testing of Electrical Power System, Solar Panels

  • Designing and Building Electrical Ground Support Equipment 

Skills used in Power:

  • Knowledge of solar panels, battery charging, and power management

  • Electrical Designing and Prototyping

What We are currently working on

Currently, the Power team is working on detailing the specifics of the power system. This entails:

  • Performing in-depth solar analysis via Systems Toolkit

  • Performing verification testing of EPS and solar panels

  • Creating test plans for electrical power system (EPS) and solar panels

  • Performing verification testing of EPS and solar panels

Future plans include:

  • Integration of all components together 

  • Harnessing and component connectors finalization
