Performance of Electrospray Propulsion for Gathering Single Polarity Data
(Pep-gs) mission

2021-Present Day

Mission Statement:

PEP-GS will measure telemetry, performance, and spacecraft charging of a single polarity,  porous borosilicate, passively fed, ionic liquid electrospray thruster during space operations.

Telemetry is defined as current and voltage characteristics on the thruster emitter and extractor grid. Performance is defined as the thrust and total impulse.

OPS-CUBE CAD Model

Mission Statement:

OPS-Cube will verify the performance and utility of both an optical emission spectrometer as a viable, new sensing asset for on-orbit electric propulsion system diagnostics and a pulsed-plasma thruster as a viable electric propulsion thruster for CubeSat maneuvers. OPS-Cube will collect diagnostic data to enable measurement of plasma electron temperature and relative ion density, as well as propellant species identification.

Plasma Spectroscopy
(P-SPEC) Mission

2016-2018

Mission Objective:

The P-Spec mission shall demonstrate that on-orbit, non-invasive optical plasma plume data collection can be performed on an electric propulsion (EP) devices.
