Team Organizational Structure
Our faculty advisers are Dr. Kristina Lemmer and Dr. Pablo Gomez in the WMU Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

The team's student leaders include the program manager and the chief engineer.

The team is organized into various subsystem design teams with team leaders and team members. These subgroups are payload, guidance navigation and control (GNC), command and data handling (CDH), communications, power systems, structure, and thermal management.
Interested In Joining
We are looking for people willing to put in the time and effort to figure out how to design satellite subsystem components. No one knows how to do everything. Everyone on the team is expected to be learning new skills. While experience is beneficial, we need people that are interested and willing to devote time to the project. Take a look at the subsystems tab to see which subsystem best fits you.

To join WALI you must be a student currently attending Western Michigan University. You do not need to be studying engineering.
